Me and My ADHD! -A workshop for kids and parents
Toby teams with his co-author and educator mother to work with students from 2nd to 7th grade. During the 90 minute workshop, students play games, use drawing to communicate and hear Toby read from his book as they learn that-THEY ARE NOT ALONE! Together, Toby and Dawn tie various themes from the book into learning games such as CONTROLLING YOUR MAD with an egg race, or FOCUSING YOUR MAGNET MIND with a group game of Suspend, and exploring the theme of YOU ARE NOT ALONE with a game using hula hoops. This workshop is a fun, meaningful and a wonderful way to celebrate the journey of living BOLDLY with ADHD. While the students work with Toby, there is a parent portion of the workshop as well where parents are given the opportunity to watch their children celebrate themselves as well as learn about how THEY ARE NOT ALONE as well as they meet with Toby's mother and other parents.
